A Python Azure Function running on a daily timer trigger pulls per-user activity data from the Graph Copilot Usage Reports API (GA since December 2025), enriches it with organizational data from Entra ID for department and location segmentation, and stores daily snapshots in Azure SQL Serverless to build historical trend data that Microsoft's 180-day window doesn't preserve. An interactive React dashboard built with Recharts calculates ROI using configurable assumptions and surfaces license utilization metrics to identify unused seats.
